Reconnecting with Twitter As of July 2018, you must apply for a Twitter developer account and be approved before you may create new apps.

Requires the following questions be answered in a minimum of 300 words, Im at a loss as to what to do: Do you have an suggestions for answering these questions?

Describe in your own words what you are building?

In English, please describe your product – the more detailed the response, the easier it is to review and approve. Be sure to answer the following:

What is the purpose of your product or service?
What will you deliver to your users/customers?
How do you intend to analyze Tweets, Twitter users, or their content?
How is Twitter data displayed to users of your end product or service (e.g. will Tweets and content be displayed at row level or in aggregate)?

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your message.

Let us go through the process ourselves, so we can advise to the best of our ability.

In the meantime, we will also look for other ways of connecting to Twitter as we understand this might not be the most convenient way.

    Thank you for your patience

    Hi Michael,

We’ve easily managed to create the developer account using the below explanation:

Tweet Wheel has been around for many years. It’s a WordPress plugin which authorises with user’s Twitter account to curate tweets on their behalf. The user has a full control over what and when gets published to their Twitter profiles. The plugin merely needs the read and write access to the user’s account to perform its task but doesn’t do anything unless told. We don’t store any information about users profiles, nor analyse it.

We have also queried with Twitter what other forms of authorisation they’d allow, which would eliminate asking our lovely users to go through this cumbersome process. Please stay tuned.

Let me know if any issues.

    Hi Tomasz,

I tried using your Tweet Wheel description and and not gotten a reply from Twitter. Is there another way to get Tweet Wheel up and operating?

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me.

You will need Twitter application in order to get Tweet Wheel up and operating. That’s Twitter’s requirement, I’m afraid. I’ve looked around to see what others do and the procedure of connecting their plugins with Twitter is exactly the same. I know it’s not convenient, but there’s nothing we can do.

I’d recommend to apply again for the Twitter dev account. We didn’t get a response straight away, but on the second attempt the result was instant and we could create an app.

Apologies for that. If you have any other questions let me know.

    Hello Tomasz

How did you resubmit I’ve tried and am blocked with the following message:

    Application under review

Your developer account application needs to be approved before you can create apps. Once it is approved, you can create an app here and get an API key in order to authenticate and integrate with most Twitter developer products.

    Hi Michael,

I made a faux pas. We used a different Twitter account to apply again, so please ignore my advice.

When asked how long it’s going to take to get a Twitter developer account approved, they said:

We continue to work through the applications as quickly as we can. Hang tight – we are just as excited to see what you are going to build!

Hopefully, it won’t be long until you can tweet wheel again.

    Thanks
