I have two queues, one queue for articles retweets and one for podcast retweets (a different type of post).

I spent some time putting in multiple custom tweet templates on the posts, but I’ve just found that only the top tweet template in the queue gets tweeted, the other just sits under it, even when it’s been requeued it still says that the top tweet template for that post will be tweeted.

I am very sorry to hear that. Let’s try to solve the issue.

First question, what’s the templates tweeting order settings on those posts? Have you tried changing it? The bug can be associated with one of the available orders.

Don’t worry. We will get to the bottom of this!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Argh, I didn’t get an email for this because like a numb nuts I didn’t tick the box, sorry about that.

I’ve tried changing it from queue order and to random but it still tweeted the first tweet.

Happy to let you take a look but I only noticed this the other day, I did think it was odd.

Looking at the tweets, now and again the second template will tweet. Possibly I need to add more tweet templates? Is that bit random? I assumed it would do the first template, then the second one the second time around.

There are two different orders in the plugin.

    1) Queue’s order, which decides if enqueued posts are tweeted from top to bottom or through a random selection.

This is unrelated to templates, because of the …

    2) Template’s order, which is setup individually for each post. You can request in post’s setting to tweet using templates from top to bottom or through a random selection as well.

Make sure in each post that you want randomised templates for tweeting you choose a relevant option.

I will be very happy to look into it if you let me have login credentials. Just reply in a private reply and I will see if I can trace down the issue.

Hope this helps, but if you have any other questions please do let me know.
