Can Tweet wheel Pro Make Queues for PAGES and not just posts, this would be VERY HELPFUL

The new version seems a bit faster though when selecting the posts in a queue it has quite a delay, and they do not always show up unless multiple searches are done

Can anyone shed some light on this behavior

    Hi!

    Thanks for writing in.

You can certainly queue any post type including pages as advertised. Just go to Settings and in the “Allowed Post Types” section tick checkboxes against any content type you would like to queue.

In regards to your problem, do you mean the post search when filling the queue in, correct? The search uses standard WordPress search functionality, hence it will only try and match post titles using the given keyword. Additionally, the search results are limited to 5, so if your post isn’t visible try to be more specific.

Hope this helps, but like always if you have any questions, please let me know.

The issue I have is with the fact I have a PAGE called RADIO, and when I search for that in the new Que , it brings up posts on Guatemala, that does not help me at all, I want to promote PAGES, I have already ticked PAGES in the settings

FOund a workaround but this shouldnt have to happen, I go into EACH PAGE and assign it to the new QUE, but this is not how it should function

Adding a que and then copying the schedule to other days is defective as well, it just simply copies blank entries, BUGGY

Looks like a cool feature if it worked!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your comments.

I will look into the search and the scheduler copying and see what I can find.

    I will keep you updated.

    Tomasz,

I hate to seem like a nag however something else I noticed, NONE of the links that are sent to twitter are SHORTLINKED, the Bit.ly api KEY is functioning and authenticated, it makes the tweets super long, when they are ALL supposed to be Shortlinked

    thanks again

what EXACTLY does “Premium support” mean, does it mean not hearing back for over 2 weeks?????

    Hi!

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I have received and dully noted all your feedback and have been working to find a resolution to your issues ever since. You have probably noticed that I have released version 2.0.5 very recently, which patches the Schedule not saving / displaying times correctly.

In regards to the Copying times, it’s the JavaScript limitation, which prevents selected values from being copied between days. A simple workaround for now is to create times let’s say on Monday, save and refresh the page, copy from Monday to any other desired day.

I can’t really reproduce the problem with Bit.ly, which you have described, hence no further comment on this as well. It’s very uncommon for this piece of plugin to malfunction and it somehow feels like there is a conflict between plugins or server’s configuration. I will try and dig further.

The “Premium Support” means having your support tickets placed in front of the queue ahead of the basic support users. However, it does not mean we will adjust the plugin to your likings and release fixes to reported issues in rush. Changing the code is a dangerous manoeuvre and has to be handled properly. We also have rights to decline support to anyone being rude and aggressive towards our staff. FYI, you have opened this ticket in the basic support section.

Looking forward to hearing from you again

    Hi Jay,

Absolutely no offence taken! I didn’t mean to emphasise you were short, I have only explained what’s in the premium support! Don’t worry at all and as always it’s my pleasure to help.

The update procedure is exactly the same as always have been, simply make sure your license is active and then head to the Plugins section where you can click ‘Update’ =)

I’m afraid I can’t reproduce the Bit.ly issue. Are you still experiencing the same problem? Maybe it was something on Bit.ly’s end when you reported it.

    Let me know

No big deal, as for the bit.ly issue here is a screenshot of how the links LOOK on twitter, they are being shortened but I do not know if they are supposed to SHOW short links or only have them be clickable?
    No Bit Links

Any chance we will ever see a way to TAG people in the tweets, I know we can @ engage their tweet names in the custom template, but it would be AWESOME to program a few names into the FEATURED image, this would make social promotion a whole new level,

This way we do not have to waste characters in the tweet (of course if twitter drops the limit this will be a moot point anyway)

    I will update soon!

    Hi Jay!

Do you have a custom domain integrated in Bit.ly properly? Basically, you can’t have a domain which links to a website and is also used for shortening, because settings wouldn’t allow for it. It made me think it can be the case because your jayodyssey.com domain is loading your site and also might be too long for shortening (I believe there is like 5-6 characters limit).

Please have a look at this quick guide on how to setup a shortlink domain yourself. You will more likely need to buy a new one eg. jayods.com or anything you’d like.

If you do not want to go down this route, you can always choose to use one of default domains provided by Bitly such as bit.ly or j.mp. In such case simply go to Tweet Wheel Pro Settings, open Links Shortening tab and after providing an API key choose a domain from the dropdown that will appear.

I have written a short article in the documentation about entire process. You can have a look at it here. Hopefully It helps a bit 🙂

What do you mean tagging users into the featured image? One of users has requested to be able to search users within the custom template field when they type @ sign. I am not sure if I follow your suggestion. Please explain 🙂

If there are any questions please do let me know!

    Hey There

so the issue with the bit.ly domain (creating my own) was like everything else in this world most of the short domains were bought up, ill search around again, mostly when i create a bit link on their website (BIT.LY) i use the j.mp domain, which they own

I did not know we could use our own with their service, ill investigate this

as for the second problem (request)

when you go to twitter to make a tweet you have the option to @mention like example TWEET

hi this is jay from @jays_odyssey checking in with @thomasz_tweetwheel #whatsup

In the above I mentioned you and me so we both get notifications from the tweet, HOWEVER I used up characters to type out both our names in the tweet

ANOTHER way of doing it is to use a photo in the tweet and TAG you in it, so same as above except something like

I know who would really like this photo (then put your twitter handle in the TAG of the photo) you still get a notification but it doesnt steal characters from the main tweet, not to mention you can TAG up to TEN people in the photo and still use all your tweet characters

the reason why this is valuable is if you have something to say in a tweet you can say it and still ALERT the people who you want to read it

Does this make any more sense?

BASICALLY the FEATURED IMAGE in tweet wheel would have a way to TAG @mentions of twitter handles so that when it was posted to twitter that would be attached to the image coming from the website

    hope that helps

thanks Thomasz, BTW I am getting ready to tell a friend to buy your plugin so keep up the good work!

    Hey Jay!

Wow. I had simply no idea you could achieve tagging using the attached media! I will definitely look into this. Thank you very much for your invaluable input. The idea sounds fantastic. I only hope Twitter API allows for the trick.

Is there anything else you need assistance with right now or can I mark this ticket as resolved?

Of course, please, if there is anything else I can help with, do let me know.

    Tomasz
