Initially when I installed Tweet Wheel the plugin would not enable because of an unspecified fatal error. On the second attempt the plugin enabled and I could enter authorisation information. When I tried to save the post types which I want to auto tweet in the settings page, although the form reports that it has saved, the post types remain blank and therefore I can’t add anything to the queue.

I had exactly the same issue on both my dev laptop (ubuntu 16.04) and the production version (also ubuntu 16.04 on a digitalocean virtual host)

I’ve looked in the logs but can’t see the reason for either the fatal error or the problem saving the post types.

    Hi Simon,

Thank you for your message. Sorry to hear about the issues!

The activation error is something that we are aware of, but as you noticed there are no errors to point us into the right direction. We are unsure why this happening. The good side of it is it doesn’t affect the plugin functionality at all.

Now, in regards to post types. I assume you are using the free version? The list of post types in your system is being loaded dynamically, hence you might have noticed a little delay after the page loads until the check boxes appear. There is a chance you are experiencing a javascript error or some plugin conflict.

Would you mind sharing WP admin access with us, so we can have a look around? Happy to release a hotfix when we diagnose the problem. If decide to do so, please reply in a private reply to keep login details hidden from everyone else.

    Thanks!

    Hi Simon,

    Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, our plugin only works with the featured images. But that’s not a lost cause. You could simply copy/move the ACF attachments to the Featured Image box available on the edit screen of every post (unless deliberately disabled by a developer). When done our plugin would be able to pick them up.

If you still would like for us to have a look around, then, by all means, let us know.

    Have a great day.

    Tomasz
